Christopher Robert Evans, born June 13, 1981, is an American actress. His career began with television roles, including Opposite Sext in 2000. He gained recognition for his role as the Human Torch, the Marvel Comics character in Fantastic Four (2007) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2008). Evans made further appearances in films based on comics and graphic novels such as TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) as well as Snowpiercer (2013). His portrayal of Steve Rogers/Captain America in Captain America: The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014 and 2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018) as well as Endgame 2019 brought him greater acceptance. In the course of his Marvel films, he grew to become one of the highest paid actors in the world.
